DAVY SAGE RETURNS WITH SOULFUL AFRO-POP SINGLE “JẸ́JẸ́” ON OCTOBER 2, 2026
Toronto Afrobeat, Reggae & R&B artist returns with a groovy tune of love, desire and the kind of connection that makes you want to stay forever.
TORONTO, ON - Toronto-based Afrobeat and R&B artist, producer and songwriter Davy Sage releases his highly anticipated return with his new single “jẹ́ jẹ́,” arriving October 2, 2026.
In Yoruba, jẹ́ jẹ́ means gently, softly, carefully, or calmly—a fitting title for a song that explores the softer, sweeter side of love while delivering the infectious groove and melodic energy that Davy Sage is known for.
“Give me kind of loving wey go make me wanna stay with you forever” is the emotional foundation of the song. Davy Sage captures the feeling of wanting someone deeply—not through pressure or complication, but through sweet energy, genuine connection and a love that makes you want that person by your side.
A New Chapter for Davy Sage
“jẹ́ jẹ́ ” marks Davy Sage’s first official release since his 2025 EP, Man On A Mission.
Following the release of the EP, Davy stepped away from releasing music publicly to navigate a period of personal and creative challenges. Rather than abandoning music, however, he returned to the foundation that has always driven him: writing, composing and recording. During that period, Davy continued spending time with his pen and pad and in the studio, allowing his creativity to develop away from the pressure of constant releases.
“jẹ́ jẹ́ ” represents the rekindling of that creative flame. For Davy, the song is ultimately about the kind of love that can keep a fire burning forever—including his own unconditional love for making music. “We grow out of love sometimes, so give me the kind of loving that will make me want to stay with you forever. Give me the sweet energy, the sweet vibe—spice me up with your love, with no stress.”
A Collaborative Production
Producer and engineer JC Beats also contributed to the production and handled the song’s mixing and mastering, while Davy Sage himself contributed to the production, composed and wrote the song, and recorded the vocals.
The result is a polished Afro-Pop record that combines infectious rhythm, soulful textures and Davy Sage’s melodic songwriting.
Davy also designed the “jẹ́ jẹ́” cover artwork, adding another layer of personal involvement to a release that represents an important new chapter in his artistic journey.
